HOLLY
Office Manager / Treatment Coordinator
Holly has been Dr. Altman’s Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator for over 12 years, and she has lived in Brenham for 26 years. A long time ago a friend suggested to Holly that she might enjoy Dentistry as a profession. The rest is history! Holly has been happy with this choice, and she finds helping patients with their dentistry is very rewarding.
Holly is married to David Meier and together they have two children, Scott and Bethany. The family participates in many activities together. Some of their favorites are camping, Brenham Community events and attending Brenham’s First Baptist Church.

SHARON
Insurance and Financial Coordinator
Sharon has been Dr. Altman’s Insurance and financial Coordinator for over 11 years, and she has lived in Brenham for 35 years. Sharon worked in the medical field for over 24 years before switching over to dentistry. She feels this is one of the best decisions she has ever made. Sharon loves what she does, and will tell you the best employers she has ever had, are the Altman’s. This is a Family Practice not only for the patients, but for the employees, as well.
Sharon and her husband, Roger, have two children, Heather, who practices Hygiene and Cody. Cody is married to her daughter in-law, Brittany. Cody and Brittany recently had a baby daughter, named Bryn Avery and Sharon is delighted to babysit any time they need her. The family plans a lot of things together and they enjoy outdoor activities, especially Nascar racing. If they are not attending a race, you will find them glued to the races on television every Sunday. We tease Sharon; she has two speeds: stop and 80.

Appointment Coordinator
Denise is Dr. Knowles’ Appointment Coordinator. Denise started working part time in a dental office, when she was in high school. She loved it so much; she has stayed in dentistry for over 21 years, and has no intention of ever leaving it. She likes being part of a Team that makes serving their patients a number one priority by offering quality dentistry in a caring atmosphere.
Denise moved with her family from Katy, Texas, in May 2006, and they are all glad they did. She is married to Jon Gundersen and together they have 4 children, Aaron, Joshua, Michelle, Jacob and daughter-in-law, Erika. Denise enjoys spending time with her family, antiquing, and attending football games..

Recare Coordinator
Sandye is our Recare Coordinator. She is the person you talk to when needing a check up and cleaning appointment. Sandye graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology. She has a diverse background having been involved in youth ministry for 3 years, a coordinator for a home health agency for 5 years, administrative work in an OB/GYN office for 6 years and 11 years with an Oral Surgeon.
She started with Dr. Altman in January 2008, and has been a welcomed addition to our Team. She will tell you its great to be part of such a caring group of people. Sandye feels oral health is so important to overall health, and she loves to help patients acquire a bright smile, which boosts confidence and self esteem.
Sandye has been married to Randy Fletcher for over 29 years, and together they have a son, R. Clayton, who is a Chemical Engineer, and now a precious daugher-in-law, Ashley living and working in Wyoming. Sandye enjoys reading, gardening, horseback riding, boating, cooking and baking and playing with her dogs Black Velvet and Deacon.

If you have been to our office, you have probably met Jill. She is our friendly person who greets all patients at the front. Jill enjoys working in a professional environment that is both challenging and rewarding.
Jill has lived in Brenham all her life. Jill graduated from Brenham High School and attends Blinn College. She likes to spend time with her family, and especially enjoys hunting and fishing with her dad.

Tami moved to Hempstead 4 years ago and feels this a great place to raise a family. She is married to John Kent for 22 years, and together they have two children, Aaron and Chloe. Tami likes to work outdoors in her spare time. She enjoys decorating, reading and four wheeling with her family.

Kristin is the newest addition to our Team. Kristin assists Dr. Knowles. She graduated from the Dental Assisting Options Program and is a Registered Certified Dental Assistant, in the State of Texas.
Kristin attended high school in Burton, and graduated from the Penn Foster Academy.
After having orthodontics growing up, Kristin has found dentistry to be a very gratifying career. Kristin now has a beautiful smile that inspires her to help others do the same.
Kristin is married to her wonderful husband, Gavin, and together they enjoy spending time with family, friends, and attending car shows. She is also one of three children, and is an Aunt to Peyton and Avery.

Jamie is married to Brad Balcar and together they have two children, Nathan and Travis. If Jamie is not hunting with her boys or at one of their baseball games, you can find her gardening or taking care of life on the Balcar farm.

Mary graduated from Brenham High School, Blinn College, and the Dental Hygiene Program at Wharton Junior College. Mary has been in dentistry since 1997, when she started with Dr. Altman as an Assistant. She loved dentistry so much she went to school to become a Dental Hygienist.
Mary was born and raised in Brenham and after living in Houston for four years, she discovered that Brenham is where she really wants to be. Mary and her husband, Jason, enjoy entertaining friends and family in their home, riding motorcycles, and vacationing.
