Holly has been Dr. Altman’s Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator for over 11 years, and she has lived in Brenham for 26 years. A long time ago a friend suggested to Holly that she might enjoy Dentistry as a profession. The rest is history! Holly has been happy with this choice, and she finds helping patients with their dentistry is very rewarding.
Holly is married to David Meier and together they have two children, Scott and Bethany. The family participates in many activities together. Some of their favorites are camping, Brenham Community events, sports activities for the kids and attending Brenham’s First Baptist Church. Baseball is one Holly’s favorite sports. Everyone finds Holly very friendly and reserved unless you see her at a baseball game. Just ask her who her favorite Astro is?
Christy is one of our very talented Hygienists. She graduated from Wharton County Junior College. Christy has been practicing hygiene for over 6 years. She came to us from a practice in Houston, and we are very glad she did. Christy and her husband Mark live in Chappell Hill. They have two children, Camryn, who is 4 years old, and their new addition, Natalie.
Christy thinks of herself as a people person, and she enjoys being able to make a difference in people’s lives. She loves spending time with her family and friends, riding horses, working in her garden and generally making people happy.
Jamie has worked as a Hygienist for Dr. Altman for over 4 years. She grew up in Caldwell, and currently lives in Deanville. Jamie graduated from Blinn College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene.
Jamie is married to Brad Balcar and together they have two children, Nathan and Travis. She enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Mary graduated from Brenham High School in 1998. She graduated from Blinn College with an Associate in Science Degree in 2001, and from Wharton County Junior College with an Associate in Applied Science Dental Hygiene Degree, in 2003. Mary has been in dentistry since 1997, when she started with Dr. Altman as an Assistant. She loved dentistry so much she went to school to become a Dental Hygienist.
Mary is from Brenham. She moved to Houston to be a Hygienist for four years, but decided living in Brenham and working for Dr. Altman, is really where she wants to be. Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her boyfriend, Jason.
Cori is a dental assistant for Dr. Altman. She is a senior at Brenham High School and attending Blinn College in her spare time. Cori joined Dr. Altman’s staff in August 2008 under the CO-OP high school work program. She will be pursuing a profession in the medial or dental field in the near future.
Cori has lived in Brenham her entire life and her hobbies included playing the guitar, singing and drawing.
Jennifer graduated from Dental Assisting school in March 2007, and she is a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Texas. Jennifer assists Dr. Knowles in our office. She is very happy she chose dentistry as her career, because she enjoys helping patients acquire beautiful smiles.
Jennifer has lived in Brenham for 9 years, and she is married to Hector Lopez. Together they have three children, Fabian 7, Alejandra 6, and Sonia, 3 years old. In Jennifer’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping and participating in her children’s school activities.
Denise is Dr. Knowles’ Appointment Coordinator. Denise has worked in dentistry for over 17 years, and has no intention of ever leaving it. She likes being part of a Team that makes serving their patients a number one priority by offering quality dentistry in a caring atmosphere.
Denise moved with her family from Katy, Texas, in May 2006, and they are all glad they did. She has been married to Jon Gundersen for over 19 years and together they have 4 children, Aaron, Joshua, Jacob and Michelle. Denise enjoys spending time with her family, antiquing, and home repair projects.
Jill has worked for Dr. Altman for over 2 years as our Office Assistant. Every office needs somebody like Jill. She has become a “Jack of all Trades.” If you have been to our office, you have probably met Jill? She is our friendly person who greets patients in the afternoon. Jill enjoys working in a professional environment that is both challenging and rewarding.
Jill has lived in Brenham with her Mom, Dad and sister Jennifer all her life. Jill graduated from Brenham High School and attends Blinn College. She likes to spend time with her family, and especially enjoys hunting and fishing with her Dad.
Sandye is our Recare Coordinator. She is the person you talk to when needing a check up and cleaning appointment. Sandye graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology. She has a diverse background having been involved in youth ministry for 3 years, a coordinator for a home health agency for 5 years, administrative work in an OB/GYN office for 6 years and 11 years with an Oral Surgeon.
She started with Dr. Altman in January 2008, and has been a welcomed addition to our Team. She will tell you its great to be part of such a caring group of people. Sandye feels oral health is so important to overall health, and she loves to help patients acquire a bright smile, which boosts confidence and self esteem.
Sandy has been married to Randy Fletcher for over 27 years, and together they have a son, R. Clayton, who is a Chemical Engineer working in Wyoming. Sandye enjoys reading, gardening, horseback riding, boating, cooking and baking and playing with her new dog Black Velvet.
Jennifer is Dr. Knowles’ Assistant. She graduated from Bellville High School, and attended Blinn College. Jennifer is glad she chose dentistry as her profession, because she enjoys helping patients achieve beautiful smiles. Jennifer views dentistry as a challenging, but very rewarding career.
Jennifer has lived in Brenham for 21 years. She is married to her best friend and loving husband, Brett Schroeder. Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, trail riding, reading and shopping.
Sharon has been Dr. Altman’s Insurance and Financial Coordinator for over 9 years, and she has lived in Brenham for 32 years. Sharon worked in the medical field for over 24 years before switching over to dentistry. She feels this is one of the best decisions she has ever made. Sharon loves what she does, and will tell you the best employers she has ever had, are the Altman’s. This is a Family Practice not only for the patients, but for the employees, as well.
Sharon has two children, Heather and Cody, and Cody is married to her daughter in-law, Brittany. The family plans a lot of things together and they enjoy outdoor activities, especially Nascar racing. If they are not attending a race, you will find them glued to the races on television every Sunday
Sara is part of our administrative staff. You may see her in the front office as a receptionist or assisting you in making your next dental appointment. Sara is new to the dental profession but is excited on learning the dental field.
Sara resides in Bellville and has a daughter named Kerigan. She will be getting married in May to Danny Busa and loves to cook and watch The Dallas Cowboys play on Sundays!
Tami assists Dr. Altman with patients. She has been in dentistry for 18 years, and she finds giving quality care to patients is very rewarding. Tami appreciates being part of a group that works well as a team, and we appreciate her, as well.
Tami is new to the area, but she truly enjoys Brenham. Tami feels this a great place to raise a family. She is married to John Kent for 18 years, and together they have two children Aaron, and Chloe. Tami likes to work outdoors in her spare time. She enjoys decorating, reading and four wheeling with her family.
Mandy is the new addition to our Team. She graduated from Academy of Medical Health Care Professions as a Dental Assistant. If you ask Mandy why she chose dentistry as her profession she will tell you, “I love teeth!” She loves being part of a team that helps our patients achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.
Mandy grew up in Brenham, but moved to Cypress, Texas for a short while to attend Dental Assisting School. Mandy moved back to Brenham with her son Hunter. She also has a daughter, Krystal attending college. She loves spending time with her family, going to the lake, offshore fishing, floating the Frio or just being outdoors.
